This was my contribution to the second round of Musical Androids contest. The goal of this track was to make enjoyable music with weird sounds on the subsynth. The track was almost finished when Frank announced the event so I decided to send it in. For some reason I forgot to post it in the community but here it is now (slightly remixed).
And here’s the caustic file

Cheers!
Sounds like Landscape or Thomas Dolby, very retro 80's. Fun stuff.

It's interesting listening to this and the original back to back. Can you describe a bit the process you used to give this a more exciting sound?
Those voices are great. I was trying to get my subsynth to speak or sing a bit with some limited results. I'm going to take a close look at how you did it. Thanks for posting the caustic file.

Did you post the Caustic file of the original version? I'd really like to see the differences.
Thanks!
Nah, there was too many steps involved in the remix and I can’t remember in which order I made the changes. But it’s all about frequencies, I made some changes to my presets and others for the effects I used but most of the work was made in the main mixer. Here is the original caustic file…

Load one of the files in to your Android device and the other in to your computer. That way you can compare the files screen by screen. Some changes are really small so you may not see them but I think you’ll get most of it.
A band that came to my mind when I was finished with the song was the Italian Synthpop duo Scotch. Those guys added a humoristic touch to the sound of that time. The songs ‘Disco Band’ and ‘Delirio Mind’ was my favourites.
Thanks for posting the original file. That should be very useful for comparison purposes!
