Caustic Song file (optional):
A classic piece of old-school electronica by Giorgio Moroder. This was on the radio a lot back when I was a kid in the late '70s.
I'm currently working on an arrangement for electric guitar, bass guitar, organ, and drums.
Just for shits and grins though, I figured it would be pretty easy to arrange a cover in Caustic. I started last night in bed when I threw the Bassline synth together from the default patch. Automation can take it through a bunch of timbral changes similar to the filter tweaks in the original.
The patterns are all together for the bassline and the lead, though the sequencing isn't done - just an intro and the first iteration of the primary lead.
It just needs more drum parts, and some sound effects. [EDIT: added sequencing so the second lead part is in there too. And I set up a loop section so it will just play endlessly. Enjoy.]
