Have you heard LTJ Bukem? Ran two labels, Good Looking/Looking Good in the 90's and championed Melodic, jazzy drum and bass. This tune would have been right up his street.
Lovely stuff, the drum programming, as always, is exquisite.
I know this is old but it took a while to find. This is such a great soundtrack. Honestly! Heeeeey Jason. You uh... got the. You know, file around?
May I also have your permission to use it in a video Idea I came up with? So when I put it up you won't take it down for copyrights right? All Credit will be given. It's up to you, my boy.
Yes..... After I get a song done.... it's time to move on.... Well for me, I'm learning to become a developer, and prepping for alot of secret projects and such, and learning lots of new things, on top of the content I already create for Caustic (as well as other secret projects) I tend to build up alot of file very quickly.
A song, for me, ends up racking upwards of 20+ Song File backups, and that alone clutters up space.
But when I get a song done and posted, I close out the project and move on, not looking back. If I keep looking back, I'll end up gonig back, and trying "to make it better" and will end up wasting alot of time on a single song.... to what end? To me it might "sound better" but if I posted a revised song for you guys, you'd come back and say "hmmm sounds the same, what did you change"
I'm weird like that.... kind of perfectionist in a way, which can be good in some ways, but can be evil in others.... I have to learn to control that. So I get in the habit of making something, and then move on, and not look back.
This week, I deleted over 5 gigs of Caustic data, songs, samples, test presets that I will never use or share cuz I made better ones that I'm waiting to release with Caustic 3 when it ships for real.
When I offer samples and presets to you guys, I want to give the BEST, not just some slopped together, unorganized junk, like most "free" samples and whatnot on the internet. EIPStudiosOhio going to raise the bar on that front...
I may still have Tides Remix SongFile, I'm gonna check right now, and I'll send or DB it to you if I find it, cuz HAHAHA I'm gonna DELETE it!
I missed this??? Wow!! I really really like this one, neo soul jazzy type vibe... Well looks like i have to bookmark this page. Jason deleted it.. But that's what you have to do at times, i delete alot too.. Actually i need to delete alot of half done stuff, Cuz it will just piss me off in the long run... But Great job on this track Jason....
just lovely, as always...poetic, peaceful and floating.
