It's been a while since I've been around, missed everyone! Anyway, this grew out of a track I did a few years ago, and it's really, really grown up. One of my favorite pieces of music I've ever done. I hope you like it!

wow, was this made in Caustic? The percussion is amazing, really tight, syncopated but still hypnotic. Tense stuff but in a great way.

Yeah, I took a break from music & spent almost all my free time this past few months in the garage working on my car. Big brakes, bigger turbo now. :D :D :D woohoo

Yep, 100% Caustic. The beat is pretty complex, can't even tell you how much time I spent putting it together, tuning it & tuning it over & over... Thanks for the listen! :)

glad to see you again andy...and im glad to see your still making great tracks.
Ah, good to hear from you again, welcome back mate. Nice track.
Around 2:20 is my dig, as always with your music, there are very precise moments of flats and sharps. This is what makes your music so dark, I love it.
I'm not too sentimental but I was also wondering if you finally bit a telephone pole or something.
Mike
Haha! No, I just get distracted easily & tend to obsess on a project until it's done. This time, it was a lot of engine & chassis work. It paid off.
This song was inspired by the Panzer Dragoon II OST. PD2 was a spectacular & tragically unknown 1996 Sega Saturn game in which you ride a dragon. The CPU controlled the flight path, but you could maneuver, turn your view 360 degrees, lock onto and shoot multiple targets with a homing laser. The graphics, music and overall artistic quality of it was so far beyond anything on the PS1 or Saturn it was incredible. I don't play video games much anymore (other than Android) but I was one of about 50 people who went out and bought a Saturn back in the day and this was my absolute favorite game for it. If you want to hear an example of the amazing music from PD2, check out the final boss battle theme here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDL9AgKe6Dk&list=PLCDAA098BFDA55620

Thanks wardini! I checked out that video- that's Panzer Dragoon 1, which was an incredible game too. You can hear the fantastic orchestral music there. Panzer Dragoon II was a big leap forward in terms of visuals, story and music. It's actually a prequel to the original game. When you start, your dragon is a baby and can't fly yet, so in episode 1 you're on the ground. It isn't until the battle with the 2nd boss (the one called "Empire's Carrier"- it's a massive flying aircraft carrier) that your dragon takes off for the first time & hits the skies.
