Does anyody remember laughter? How about Theremins?

Caustic Song file (optional):

Yeah, I know completely cliche. Still fun though.

Hit play, turn the DADSR Sustain knob and have some fun. Don't forget to try different waveforms. Watch the speakers, this thing can put out some immense low end, especially if you crank down the octave knob.

That thing is fun to play

That thing is fun to play with, but trying to automate actual pitches with accuracy? Not fun.

So here's a keyboard friendly version with some vibrato.

Or you can use a HotHand (3

Or you can use a HotHand (3 axes BT controler) device to control it by hand movements, almost like a real theremin....

I'll try.

Seriously? Too cool. Can you

Seriously? Too cool. Can you assign the Midi to Sustain knob of the original? That would be insane. Gonna go look that HotHand up. Should work, I can do it with my guitar equipped with a MIDI pickup.

P.S. I'm sure you already know this, but changing the Octave level tunes what freq you will hear at the midpoint which is the area of greatest control. If the overall effect using a specific controller is too bright or dark, shift the Octave. It still maintains the same range but it changes what freq you have greater control over.

Tested. It works. Not only

Tested. It works. Not only you can control the sustain knob, but you can assign the 2 other axes to whatever parameter you want, and also have many parameters reacting to the same CC.

One ring to rule them all    cool

Don't know if you already tried to control Modular with midi messages, but there is a little trick: You have to load your mod preset in  the CC mapping edit tool, and then reload it in your song to get it work.

I also have a Fishman Triple play and used Caustic live with it. Funny!

The reason why I talked about the Hothand is because I'm curently making and testing a Caustic patch for a Pink Floyd tune (on the run) where I will control the bassline by hand with the ring, during our next show in Tahiti.
