MEG

Caustic Song file (optional):

Enough of all this crazy cross modulation malarky. I'm just gonna put a simple little monosynth together.

This is a simulation of the, somewhat eccentric, 303 envelope arrangement. Roland used two envelopes for that. I've blagged it with three. It's pretty squelchy.

What purpose does the sub

What purpose does the sub oscillator fulfill?

An LFO for the Pan Module?

It's an LFO. The pan module

It's an LFO. The pan module is converting (envelope following) the AC output of that LFO to a DC output, so I can use it to open and close the filter. If I, just, used the, direct, AC output, the filter cutoff would stay closed for the negative half of the LFO cycle. And I don't want that to happen here.

It's also rigged up to the WG AM input. If I'd used AC for that, the LFO would flip the phase of the WG. And I don't want that to happen here either.
