Caustic Song file (optional):
Not bad, not great. Will explain later.
Edit: so of course you can turn any knob and do what you like. In terms of functionality as a sorta trumpet sound, the Delay envelope will control how much "blap" you get; near 9 o' clock it just gets silly.
To the rear, the mixer in the second row feeding the Cutoff controls what is essentially the velocity sensitivity. The DADSR out and second WG (Note CV not connected) are mixing with Velocity CV, but the WG is controlled by the Decay env so mostly affects part of the initial attack. Tried to set the marked mixer Out in a nominal range to get the most pleasing general response but if you jack up the Out level you get a more aggressive, brighter horn texture. The timbre responds to velocity fairly well but say you hold a long note that starts soft via a lower velocity note, whether manually or with automation, if you crank up the Out level the note will get louder and brighter and vice versa.
Oh its so nice
So pleasant
Do you by lucky chance have an idea (or aready preset) for a quiet sax, like in the beginning here:
