Envelope Control

Caustic Song file (optional):

If only there was a way to control modular envelope time stages with CV. It's a gorgeous effect. Maybe, one day, there will be. But, with a bit of lag, we can blag.

And a few other, envelope generator related, things.

Interesting as always. Cool

Interesting as always. Cool idiosyncracies when you start adding some Resonance to the filter doing the lag.

Ok, correct me if I'm

Ok, correct me if I'm mistaken... typically the max decay of an envelope in the Modsynth is about 2 seconds. It appears you've inadvertently found a workaround. Example 2 takes 8 bars for a 16th note to decay.

Intersting indeed. :) I was going to ask if there might be a way to hack together an envelope so we can get longer durations. I was thinking some sort of combination of the UMF and maybe using the sync and am inputs on a WG, but wondering was about as far as I got. But I stripped down that velocity decay lfo and just made it a decay lfo... just trying to figure out how it's working.

The K-35 is a remarkable

The K-35 is a remarkable module that will do many things, depending on how you set it up, and what you feed into it. I'm using it in 'lag processor' mode. Turning the resonance up will put it into 'resonator' mode and it oscillates. And that can take, quite, some time to disperse.
If you're going to play with the voltages, here, then turn the modsynth output 'down' first.

Another option using a delay

Another option using a delay module...

with a picture explanation:

Basically I'm sending a signal from a DADSR thru a delay module fed back onto itself into a mixer
Then that runs through a lag processor to smooth out the delay echoes and from there ready to use for modulation.
