Exit program?

Greetings,

I'm new to Caustic and am trying out the demo on my Andriod Galaxy S8.  While the manual covers pretty much everything I need to run the program, when it is in use it overrides my back and home screen controls and there doesn't appear to be any way to exit the program from within it.  I've gone over the manual but it doesn't mention that function.  I tried searching the forum for the answer and I tried using the keywords 'quit program' or 'exit program' (or just 'quit' or 'exit') but it didn't bring up an answer to my query.

So far I've only been able to exit by selecting 'help' and when the phone switches to the browser I can then shut the program down externally.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

-Mr_M

Try sliding your finger up

Try sliding your finger up from the bottom of your phone, that should give you the standard 3 soft buttons to go back or the app list.

On my Samsung S6 and other

On my Samsung S6 and other Android devices, if I click the "back" arrow at the bottom right a dialog box comes up in Caustic asking "Exit Caustic?" and there are Yes and No buttons.

Every one a little different.

Every one a little different.  On my Pixel3 and previous MotoX, you have to swipe down from the top (with the phone turned for Caustic) to get the Back arrow and Home button to appear.  Hitting the Back arrow will bring up the "Exit Caustic?" question. If you didn't know to swipe down, you'd definitely be at a loss.

Yes JH, but the OP specified

Yes JH, but the OP specified a Galaxy S8 which is a Samsung device, not a Google Pixel or other manufacturer, which is what led to my response.

Hi, I have a galaxy J6,

Hi, I have a galaxy J6, Android 9. To exit caustic, you must touch the Virtual button panel and scroll to the left. They'll get you out of the buttons. At this point, just click on the arrow, and answer you to the question if you want to get out of caustic.
