Sometimes you get asked to do something really intresting that really fires the imagination, and also, the creative process of how to go about it.
Recently I've been asked to write a piece of music for an escape room, this music needs to be background music so not intrusive, but also having a feel of tension around it, on top of this it needs to be an hour long to span the duration of the entire escape.
To this end I've been writing a few pieces of music, all in the same key and using largely the same palette of sounds. I'm also writing some extended ambient pieces that are more drone than musical which will act at "glue" to stick the more musical pieces together.
Once I've got enough content, and of course, over the course of an hour it's fine to repeat content just try not to do it too much, I'm going to put all these tracks into audacity and mix the whole shebang into an hour long track.
It's a pretty exciting project to be working on and it's things like this that really give a boost when in a creative fug.
Anyway... Just sharing!
