Waveform editor has very powerful function!

I don't know how many of you knows about this, but that dots that you see in a waveform editor when you zoom in, can be moved.
Has anyone experimented with this and how this function can be used?

Oh yes, I use it often:

Oh yes, I use it often: sometimes I have to correct some defects in the waveform (like peaks, or eliminate bumps). You can use it for small defects.

In my opinion it is of no use, but it is also true that I did not go into it.

Ps: you have to be careful though: if you don't know what you were doing, you can only get worse.

I am not clear with one thing

I am not clear with one thing here. Let me try to explain. If it's working for the whole waveform when you zoom in, why it's not working with a whole waveform when you zoom out. This means that only dots are moving, not the actual waveform. So my opinion is that this function is a powerful, but not usefull. If we could animate the whole waveform with a touch, without zooming in, or without dots, that would be awesome. You could do a very unique things with your sound.

I don't understand what would

I don't understand what would be the use of animating the entire waveform.

Well, it could be used for

Well, it could be used for time stretching. That's, in my opinion, very useful option.

The zoom function is VERY

The zoom function is VERY useful for what it's intended for, which is fine tuning (fixing clicks and pops, etc.), but that's about it. If you're thinking you can draw out an entire waveform then go for it. But remember there are 44,100 of those dots for every second.
