Help : ambient sample

This day i was listening to ARAN - VOLT, the instrument/sample at the very beginning was really calming, it reminded me of the homeworld series which may have the same instrument/sample.
I tried replicating it in caustic but i couldn't.
Can someone help?

I'd say the subsynth for the first part and the sawsynth(detuned multiosc) for the second sound that comes in after the buzzing.

Edit: Most of what you hear is LFOs and the harmonics of really fast frequnecies. So mess with the LFOs on things. :) Sawsynth can LFO pitch as well, start there very minutly.

I hear 3 voices in the first

I hear 3 voices in the first few seconds of the track. You should be able to get most of these from the Subsynth, but I'll need to play around with it to see myself.

There's the dominant low-end bass synth, which I believe is a sawtooth pattern. It has a slow LFO modulating both the amplitude as well as a low-pass cutoff.

The other sound that is apparent right at the beginning is running through a phaser and most likely a high-pass filter. There is a lot of modulation going on that gives it that spacey-degraded sound.

The third that I hear comes in a little slower and may be the most difficult to reproduce if you're not familiar with this kind of synthesis. Like Mike mentioned, it's a very harmonic sound. Normally you'd achieve this with additive synthesis rather than subtractive. I'll probably do some more digging to see if I can figure it out

Well I hear at least 4 voices, and lots of complex lfo's. I would say the modular is the the only synth i caustic able to deal with all that. For the harmonics use FM, you can do that with the modular to.

I managed to get some

I managed to get some reasonably similar sounds with two SubSynths. One is very basic, single saw oscilator, lowpass filter. Slow amplitude and cutoff modulation with even timing. Another saw with a highpass filter and a lot of phasing both between the subsynth oscillators and adding additional phasers to both FX patches (one slow, one fast).

That harmonic synth gave me a bit more trouble. I got something similar playing around with both oscillators in the subsynth, but nothing quite matching what I hear in the song. I did try the FMSynth a bit, but couldnt quite get the right sound. In hindsight, I feel like goob for always forgetting that little Padsynth, which should hopefully be ideal for getting that sound. I'll mess around with it a bit more when I get home. All else fails I will at least post the parameters for the first 2 synths.

No luck with the padsynth on

No luck with the padsynth on getting the harmonic sound. It does sound like it's being created with some high frequency modulation. The Modular is probably the best bet for getting that sound.

For the low-end pad (A♯1, A1, B1, A1)

And then the droning spacey lead (D4), maybe add some echo and verb to the mixer for extra spaceyness
