I recently got into learning and experimenting with cynth software and found Caustic which i liked a lot. I'm using the PC version.
I never mixed or mastered a track. I'm trying to learn but finding quite difficult to find material for newbies.
Please share yorur advises :)
This doesn't sound bad (especially for a first track), now aout mastering, the whole purpose of it is to make your tracks sound decent thru any device speakers, be it a headset, or speakers, mono or stereo. With mastering you also procces audio so it doesnt "clip" - meaning it doesn't reach 0 db, but is still quite loud, its a sort if way to belance youe tracks loudness, and to get to fit with one another (lets say for an album). If you have an album you don't want the listener to control the volume each time one track is louder of more quiet then the rest. Thats the gist. of it, As for tttechniques .. There really isn't a lot of what you could go by, except learning what compressors do, how the effect the audio and when and how much to compress (sort of), its really like experimenting with sound, but in mastering you need more of a technicall standpoint on things, meaning you need to know what to do, how to make your track not sound too bright and too muddy. So start by experimenting, My advice ^^
I tried mixing it and mastering it again. Which one do you think sounds better / clearer?
