Thats the only way I can imagine. Have the signal split into two chanels, but of course when you automate one knob you can always copy paste the automation on the other one, so its not that big of a downside... Just a little tedious is all. Good luck ^^.

Yea, it'd be nice to use just one knob for both channels as its a bit fiddly.
