Yes I think it's a generic term mostly used in france to describe this kind of music. Of course it refers to Spiral Tribe and also the way the soundsystems guys used to live (in "Tribes")
I bought 'Breach The Peace' by Spiral Tribe when it came out because I loved the idea behind them - not sure their music lived up to it but they were hugely exciting as an idea.
There were DJ's like Charlie Hall that were affiliated that were awesome though
174 Bpm is a little too hasty for me these days but I enjoyed it as blast of Gabba-esque fun
The percussion around 1:30 is nice. That clacky snare with the rolls works really well.
