Bug? don't know, But Caustic not been loading recently

I love using free software and challenging myself to get hard banging trippy results, BUT...
Recently, (past few days, with it now being the 12th April)) Windows 10 (always updated) and low to mid end of gaming=spec PC is not loading up Caustic since this morning, and still isn't and it's gon e2am here in Scotland!)
I've stems needing dropped into Ableton and can't get any study or work done!
Any suggestions?
Have downloaded a new windows standalone exe.
And thinking just firte it up, then pop all the associated files into the folders of the new standalone?

Windows 10 has recently

Windows 10 has recently changed something with the rights-management or how it reads it. I am not sure if this solves your problem.

I had similar problems with the itch.io-app not being able to finish installation, also some others installers failed.

Try right-clicking on the Caustic.exe which should be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SingleCellSoftware\Caustic\bin and go to "Compatibility", there you should click the field "Run as administrator".

If that doesnt work, try using the stand-alone version. That one worked better on my studio-machine.

Thanks for the reply, and

Thanks for the reply, and though your point may be correct in some cases, it is, as it turns out, not the case here!
Actually turned out that i'd switched some kind of ''night mode'' on, which made my text and contrasts all haywire, so turned out Caustic WAS actually loadimng, but i couldn't see it! Just the Caustic window was visible. All within that winbdow was white.
But, sorted settings again, and it is all good thanks!

Yes.

Yes.
Windows settings had somehow (God forbid it'd be me of course!)  been changed to a ''night mode'' and it screwed up all my colour and so on display settings and folders and everythting.
BUT, soon as si realised that, changed settings back, then everythintg was fine.
So although no fault oif Caustic, maybe in future it'll be possible for ''apps'' to deal with that and still be visible! lol!
