No notes loading into song sequenzer when importing Midi

I'm sorry if this has already been solved cause I could not scan 40 pages oft search results.

When I import midi files and assign them to a machine, I can hear them playing but they are not visible anywhere. Also tried this in the win Version with the same result.

What am I doing wrong? I need the notes to complete songs or copy passages.

Glad if you can help & thanks in advance!

They should be in the piano

They should be in the piano roll of the sequencer page. (They are not in the pattern pages and not in the pattern sequence of the sequencer page.)

Hey Carl. Yes you are right,

Hey Carl. Yes you are right, I fortunately did find them, the way you described it, by choosing the Instrument.

Is ther maybe an easier way to manage copy/paste notes so they will also become visible in the sequenzer's song pattern mode,

because I can only see them when choosing the instrument. So I'm missing an overview over the actual song.

Thank You

Yes, you can copy the notes

Yes, you can copy the notes from the song sequencer and paste them into a pattern.

actually that is not what I

actually that is not what I want. I want to copy the whole song, somehow in the sequenzer (song mode) so that I can see them there.

I do see notes when I chose an instrument instead of Pattern (on top left corner) in the sequenzer. But there I have no overview over the songarrangement,

and that would be the place where I want to see the notes. Should I post some pictures explaining what I mean?

No need for pics, I

No need for pics, I understand what you mean. Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge it's not possible to achieve what you want since piano roll mode in the seq only allows you to see one machine at a time. The closest thing would be to copy 8 measures of notes at a time, paste them into a pattern, delete the notes from the song sequencer and then place the pattern into the song sequencer. Although you can't see the individual notes as well in a pattern block placed in the seq you can see them somewhat and it will give you a better perspective off the overall arrangement.

Oh, thats a bit of a downer

Oh, thats a bit of a downer eventough I still like the software very much.

I understand what you have explained but this is almost like work and the result might differ too much from the original.

Nontheless thanks for your explanations.
