I was playing around with my girls and they started doing this little dance and singing thingy, so I whipped out my phone, loaded up Caustic and did a little "field recording" of them for a few seconds..... which in turn inspired this track a few hours later....
Oh yeah... I used BEATBOX for percussion and drums.... HA!

When you said you did some field recording do you mean you recorded straight into Caustic? Which machine did you record into? PCM or Beatbox?
It would be interesting to see if you could make a children's 'choir' out of your little girls by double tracking them, detuning, shifting timing off grid slightly, chorusing, etc Maybe would sound good on the last 'chorus'.

I did everything here 100% in Caustic. Field Recording all in Caustic. Editing and Processing all in Caustic. I did some tricks and some of my techniques, all using tools Rej created in Caustic 3's new Waveform Editor.... It is really awesome.
Eventually, I'll get to blogging about stuff like this, and how you can use your phone teeny tiny microphone, and still get a decent recording for your project.... again, you don't have to have a big expensive recording rig to do projects like this.... I just pulled it off with this track, which I'm quite pleased with the results of it.
Some of my samples, after editing in the new Editor, got mapped into BeatBox.... I used 2 BB's (gasp!)
Silly.... doesn't even begin to describe what these twogirlies get into, when they get into a mood....
