SubFourteen

Caustic Song file (optional):

Just in case somebody thought I have abounded my precious SubSynth I can gladly inform that’s not the case. With all the new features Rej gave this beauty, this Synth is now hotter than ever… 2 drawable waveforms, FM, PM, AM, Unison, Bend up/down, legato mode and automation-editor is taking the SUB to a whole new level. Imagine using 14 subsynts in a track, how would that sound? Hmm, maybe something like this…wink

Excellent sounds and music.

Excellent sounds and music. The track works very well and is like a story or adventure. I think if you didn't know you wouldn't think Oh Wow 14 synths!. because it is very natural sounding.......And thanks for posting the file so I can borrow those presetswink

Wow I am impressed! Im going to have to revisit this synth more closely.
Nice work.

Frank needs to promote this on MusicalAndroid, this is an amazing demo of just what one of these synths is capable of. Tell me what other app out there can even come close to doing this..... Umm none......

Nice track, very creative. I'll have to take a closer listen to each of those presets to see how you did it.

Pan65.........It felt as if i am watching a Christopher Nolan Movie with Hans Zimmer background score! Totally hooked to your track...

Man i am just clearly seeing here that what the app is capable of...one major difference only by hearing i am founding in C3 is the Clarity and Crystal clear sounds(i am pretty much concerned with how the sounds are coming as far as any music or instrument is concerned..how it 'sounds' is basic necessity for me!)..well yes we definetely need to EQ stuff to get the sounds you are getting but still the basic sounds that are being created are really good.

I dnt wanna compare this App with some big names currently in the market is because accept it or not this is what 'Caustic' sounds...thats it why compare that its a clone to some other DAW or whatever.... For me this is it...A New Original Music creating application, unique in its own way.  And not exaggerating in any sense.

(Sorry used your Thread to write but couldnt control myself after hearing your track)surprise

Thank you Wardini. The presets are all yours to use and abuse but please note that some of them are designed for automation and don’t sound so good on there own.smiley

Thanks Jason. Well 14 tracks

Thanks Jason. Well 14 tracks to play with reduce the need of multi-sample PCM’s, you can now synthesize all your sounds without compromising. Pattern automation makes the Subsynth even more interesting since you now can control everything throughout the song with great precision.

Ha ha, thanks Danjdob. That nearly describes the evolution of this track, I really didn’t know what I was creating. I was playing around with pattern automation and added more and more SUB’s and suddenly I had a nice foundation to build fromlaugh

Thanks Nishit. It’s all good,

Thanks Nishit. It’s all good, but the only part you can do a fair comparison is the quality of the ‘soft-synths’ and I would say Caustic stand it’s ground. If Rej decide to release VSTi versions of his synths, I would buy all of them. When it comes to sequencing the big DAW’s win easily but on the other hand Caustic is used on portable devices so you can bring it wherever you go. I will not even mention the prize… Oops! I think I just diddevil

Thanks Bojeroo, my main concern about the SUB was that it lacked the ability to bend notes. Now you can do that plus edit your automations until perfection. I’m in heaven…angel

This might be a good

This might be a good candadate for a Caustic Community pack 2 (3)? We've discused templates and I feel the original Community Pack plus the tutorial videos helped me get up to speed. maybe the quick solution is a download with both templates and demo content so that new users can see the bredth of possibilties. Sub Fourteen is a small file and I am guessing only  the multi insert reverbs would be taxing on modest phones. I want to say Again just outstanding work Pan65!

Hmm, I’m not sure. Even my QuadCore hTC was trembling and shaking, I think the CPU-meter reached 80% or something. The stuff in a contentpack should be awesome without bringing any device to it’s knees. But if Rej wants to include it I’m fine with itwink

Wow!!!!!! Please excuse my

Wow!!!!!! Please excuse my tardiness in reviewing this GREAT work of art. As this is not in the genre of music I listen to, I came to this post to to learn more about sculpting sound(listening to and studying all the great contributers to the subsynth only challenge). I must say, this piece has became my inspiration. When I began creating music, I wanted my pieces to touch people in all walks of life, like this work you've done. I listen to entirely hip hop but this gave me a feeling that rap couldn't provide. I find music is truly beautiful when it can capture the ears of those outside its intended genre. Although outside my preferred genre, I truly am a fan of your art. From one artist to another, this is why i do music, hopefully to create something as grand as this. A reflection of the beauty inside all can relate to. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this file, as i learned an infinite amount of technique from studying your work.

I was wondering what all the

I was wondering what all the new likes on SC was all about,  well *rolling up my sleeve's*...

@derrtiblu: Well if I had more tracks to play with the next step would probably be adding drums, that would change the song completely and most likely ruin it. Besides this track is already quite packed with sounds as is. Thanks for your comment :).

@Wellsley: This track is mostly a happy accident,  if I remember it right I was trying to create a somewhat realistic explosion and while I was at it I kept adding effects. Somehow everything just fell in place, but it was just a weird experiment and I hesitated to post It on SC because I didn't think this was Interesting to anyone else but me. Well they say we never stop learning and I guess thats true, this episode learned me not assume what others may think but let them decide for them selves ;).

@Alexei Bourdan: Thank you Alexei, much appreciated :).

@Thaddeus: Thank you Thaddeus, your not bad yourself (love your Neon City series). I like metal to (the things from the 80's at least) and I been playing bass in a couple of bands, but that was a long time ago :).

@lefillegal: Gosh, you make me blush. :D Thank you very much...
