Hey all, It's Merc here. (im back for real yaaaaay)
The activity of the Single Cell Software community isnt talked about much, But I think its pretty obvious we are nearing the end. Caustic is Officially Recognized as abandonware, Mastering was never fully released, rej is long gone, this very website has been damaged by a malware redirect, and the only way to to get here is with a direct link to a topic. This community is small, but great. Little to no drama and or flame wars. I think we should take action and try to get more people into the community. but im not sure how we should do it. the more active members we have in here, the more drama will happen. if anyone here has any ideas, lemmmie know. and if mel is still around, would you be ok with any plans we build up?
I'm still around.
Probably won't post very much here.
I'm actually building my website called ON07's Daw Preset Library where I store content packs for Caustic and other DAWs there.

Many interesting ways to look at this. For one, Caustic is not dead. Lots of people still use it. Developement may not be dead. I think many of those that used Caustic in the past and frequented this site still lurk from time to time. When an announcement happens, they tend to comment fairly quickly.
As to what could be done to bring more life to the site ... I would say participate. It really wouldn't take much. I REALLY don't think focus should be put on trying to get more people here. The focus should be put on making music, sharing music theory, sharing synthesis tips, general music discussion including popular/electronic music news, all that sort of thing. That was what made this place rock. If there is life here, more people will participate organically. I'm up for the challenge. I've been a little more active working on Caustic recently anyway.
Thanks for all your ideas, i was never here during the "old days" (2.0-2.3) so I may say some stuff that seems pretty silly. Ill be sure to keep that in mind.
Hey,
I asked a rej's friend about Caustic update and he said that there are always possibilities so maybe it's not end of Caustic
I'll be gone next year but hopefully I'll be back sooner.
This site is still amazing and I really will like to see more coming when I return in the future.
RHOMBUS ARE AWESOME!
Well what about we start from a YouTube channel where we will redirect people here to download presets and caustic files of the songs they like. Is there a way to avoid the problem with entering on the site? I think if you activate private dns on your phone, the site loads automatically without an error but I did try that only one time and I am not sure iif that will work for everyone.
That's the best idea I can came up with...

@Amel, I Would Love that.
@80NS I'll see you around.

Does the creators need a fundme or some cash? Cause I would love to donate what I can and help with what I can. Or is it more people they need to download the app? Cause I'm more than happy to start a tutorial over Caustic. I'd push the content to get more people interested and potentially get more people to download it. This app is still the best DAW ever for making tracks. I pick Caustic over ANY DAW that's out there and I've used FL. Logic, Ableton and I use pro tools but I use pro tools to make the final song on eveyrthing I finish from Caustic. I basically use Caustic for ALL instrumentals and Pro Tools for vocals and engineering. Those are the only DAW's I use.
I have been known to come back and lurk occasionally.
May make an effort to be more active.
Have a little listen to my work.

DrB was wearing masks way before they became all virtue signal chic. ;)
@80NS You're still around?
I thought you're gone.

@on07 yes I'm still around for this year.
Next year I'm gone but I'm still around on Tik Tok.

I try to build a Chinese caustic forum but it didn't success. Many caustic users turn to FLM or Garageband.
