Volume gate

Is there a straightforward way to put a dynamic volume gate at the FX/master level? Basically an LFO attached to a VCA. I've been automating channels manually, but suspect I might be missing something obvious.

No, there's no other way to do it that I know of.

If you've got a spare track, you could always use a subsynth set to noise + its LFO to drive a compressor using sidechain (but have the subsynth's volume set to 0 in the mixer)

I've still got a LFO --> volume / pan insert effect planned, but it got bumped out for 3.0. It will come though.

Well, with C3 on the way, you can now automate the machine volume knob in the pattern, or add a whole bunch of keys in the sequencer in song mode via the editor. No need for workarounds.
