Bassline growl

For some that might not be that familiar with creating basslines on a machine like the Bassline, in it's default state it's sound is good for leads.

What you might not know is by adding a Distortion effect set to Foldback with the pre gain set up a bit, you will get a nice crunchy phat growl from it. That added with slides and filter changes will give you a lower end bassline that is more suitable for holding rhythms.

I have a couple analog bassline synths and this technique brings it close to them. Rej.... I really miss Portamento though! :)
