Photon Breeze

Caustic Song file (optional):

Hey all!
It has been a while since I have been working with caustic, but now that Caustic 3 is much more stable than before, I present to you humbly my first C3 track.

So over the summer, I have had alot of time to experiment and practice using all the different synths and fx, and by now I have become quite familiar with them and their functions. In particular, I have enjoyed the modular's capabilities. Once you understand it, it becomes a very intuitive and fantastic synth to use. But honestly, I love it all. Definitely competing with mainstream DAW's.

Love the break at 3:00.

Love the break at 3:00.

I started this track and forgot I had a techno track playing in the browser, so it sounded like you were experimenting with a weird drum break. haha

Great stuff, the PadSynth is really nice atmosphere in this song. This reminds me of stuff on di.fm/trance at the end of the track.

You like that compressor on noise don't you. angel

Nice to here from you again man!

thanks mike, ahah :D But this

thanks mike, ahah :D But this time I have "formanted" the noise, this makes it more distinguishable to the sound of breathing making it more sinister in a way ;) rather than normal filter sweeps. hehe

Yeah, the ducking of pad

Yeah, the ducking of pad sounds is really "in" these days. Lately I have been rummaging back in the days of the 90's techno/trance/tribal.

Ohh I dare you to make a song using the FMSynth bong, bong as a bassline in a trance song! (kindof ring modulated sine, very discrete metal sound but FULL and bassy) This is on my todo list, I heard a killer bassline and said, wow the FMSynth can make that sound.

Oh yes, the fm synth can make

Oh yes, the fm synth can make some pretty gnarly basslines. In particular, I managed to get it to produce those Y vowel type sounds from the 3 oscillators on the triple modulator algorithm as another experiment. Most combinations, will probably lead to really dissonant sounds or even noise though. really interesting synth..
I accept the dare! sounds quite fun, I'll see what I can come up with in my spare time..

Love the track mniip, I was just thinking the other day I hadn't seen anything from you in a while

Thanks for the caustic file. I'll take a look later, and see what else I can learn from your techniques, it's always fascinating to see how you contruct your tracks!
