those stabs are one of jblanns presets...i like that string sound to, its the orchestra padsnth preset that i edited a bit added a little chorus and reverb and delay.
i never know what genre my music falls into...its somewhere in there between techno house electronica and trance at times...this track to me has a very 90s club sound.
Well it has the right name I agree with James. listened to it on my KRK rokit 6 monitors with an Apogee DUET audio interface and the mix and sounds are just stunning. This is a really good example of how in the right hands Caustic is capable of professional quality results. is the male 'Better' Vocality as well? bravo sir!
i did have a Korg Wavstation and an Alesis hr 16 drum machine back in the 90s...i made the best of what i had...now i have an app that does it all...for a few bucks.
Nice rich textures and good use of vocal samples as always! I like the effect you achieved with the bass. Alternating octaves?
Yeah, I like the ravey stabs at the beginning.
It reminds me of Kevin Sanderson's Inner City - it's that sound that straddles house and techno. The strings at 01:45 are cool too

thanks...the female samples are Vocality made. the base alternates between the kick drum which gives it that feel.

it's a really clean mix too, the kick drum stands out and the separation is sweet.

thanks man...the male samples are from zvon..i dont have a male voice for Vocality yet unfortunately.
Oh man the 90's...... if you had a 909, 808, Korg M1, Roland JV-80 (or any JV/XV synth), you had it made....
Nice track, this certainly takes me back.

I don't know the difference between things like trance and house, but I know what I like.
And this track is what I like.
In the 90's this was considered "Techno". :)
Mike
yeah your right mike...this is techno, for sure.
thanks!
BTW danjdob, I gave this a roll on my stereo with sub and boy you have a rolling sinewave in there, fantastic track!
I am making it my duty to try and revivie some of the older sounds like this, the stabs and strings together... perfection.
Mike
thanks mike!
