I was hoping someone could help me with a drop for this song? Ive got the buildup mostly solid, but I just dont know where to go with the drop. I dont really know how to make a good one either. Help please?? If you look on my soundcloud account you can see the version of this song with the horrible drop and chorus I made too, blehh. Ive uploaded the buildup if anyone wwants to have a go at making a drop or starting one for me cx
Caustic 3 is by far the best mobile app for electronic music, and maybe even better than most computer programs as well.
Thanks, Shane
Hey there fellow same namer! My name is Shane too. I will give it a listen and see what I can do, but I'm a beginner too so dont get your hopes up too much.
Hi haha, turns out I uploaded the wrong version of this song to Soundcloud, Im correcting it now though! Nice to meet you!
Thanks!
Shane
i cant see a way to do it without a complete remix. the style is way different than im used to. ive tried making beatbox patterns with that kind of offbeat structure and im terrible at it. so if youd like i can try but youd be hearing a fundamentally different song.with different machines and patterns and instruments for a lot of it.
@music, gosh I dont know. If you want to do it im all ears, but im okay if you dont. I'm just looking for a little "kickstart" in the right direction direction I guess.
But any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks, Shane

I worked on this but for some reason I cant upload the .caustic file. I tried adding it from my files but when I click upload it wont allow me into my file browser. I tried dropbox too but it errors on that as well. I'm a bit annoyed with this site at the moment!
I'm no seasoned pro at either music production, or at dubstep, but looking at your song, it looks like you are readying your machine "bassline1“ to be your wobble. Personally, I would grab your other one "rythm" instead, switch to cutoff lfo, kick up the depth, and use your rate to wobble it, with the cutoff slider for accent. Keep your beat going after a pause, bring it down and heavy, and match your accents.
Out of curiosity, is this section of the track a part of another track or are you starting with a build up and drop. Usually buildups/breakdowns/drops/effects are the last things you create in a track. Your tune should sound really good without those things and you then add effects etc.. to accentuate parts of the track to add feeling, mood or showcase a certain phrase.
I'm a little confused with the drums towards the end of the buildup that are off beat. What is your intention there? Also, why the high bpm, im not aware of much edm produced past the 190 mark. Not criticizing, just trying to understand the intention/ feel of the sound your after.
I'll upload the fixed drop hopefully tomorrow, and maybe some remixes of my own if thats okay with you.
Also, my name is Tyrin, i'm kinda the Trap student around here besides Bidzo. My soundcloud:http://www.soundcloud.com/thetyrinasoarus.

Thanks guys, really. Mekanism, I dont really know the reasons for my off-beat beats nor my bpm haha, im just trying to do things a bit differently than usual. I just started messing around wih some different things and ended up with a buildup, so I decided to build a track around it. Thats kinda where the name derives from, meaning 'zero structure' because I didnt really expect it to have the usual pattern chorus/buildup/drop/breakdown etc.
Tyrin, thanks also for helping out. I am really looking forward to hearing those.
And lord_bondslave, your suggestion was DEFINITELY appreciated. Im really trying to get as many "tricks" as I can for creating drops.
Thanks guys,
Shane
This is the best I could do, considering your ways of formating is unorthadox. You'll have to take it from there :)

Thank you Tyrin. That really helps me move in the right direction with this (:

Okay so here's what I think my buildup/drop will be like in general, but I do need to turn down the high eq a bit haha, and ad some more bass. AND clear up the vocals.
Shane
N-n-nice! Just a little cleaning and it's perfect. BTW you might want to make the screech after the drop deeper, and re-add the main beat, then you could bring in the screeches. Also, where did you get that "drop it" sample? All I have is Skrillix's drop the bass.
MY MUSIC
I made that sample with the android app Vocality with the TTS engine Ivona. I read about it on the homepage here somewhere. If I knew how I'd upload the sample for everyone
And thanks! Yeah I definitely need more bass in the drop, and okay. Your advice has really been helpful dude :D
