Hi, thanks for the nice

Hi, thanks for the nice compliment, but I like your tracks better than mine!

For the intro, I used the "Chip Lead" preset in the subsynth and up'd the rate on LFO1. I also put a low-pass filter and set it to low cut-off and resonance, and just slowly raised the cut-off.

Great!

Great!

This reminds me of the games like Turrican from the Commodore C64 end of the 80s.

Really good chip tune, it

Really good chip tune, it definitely got that SID flavor. I got one hot tip for you though... If you really want to make it sound like an old C64 you need to know that the SID-chip only had 3 voices and they where all monophonic. To overcome this we used multiple presets on each channel, for example channel one could play like this... Kick bass snare bass kick bass snare and so on... Channel two played the melody while channel three played the chords. Oh, the chords was always arpeggios. I may have some of my old "Music Assembler" tracks on floppy but I don't have any interface for the drive, I built one for the serial-port ages ago but nowadays everything goes through USB.

That was a fun song. I know

That was a fun song. I know the temptation to bring yourself down because your song doesn't sound exactly like something else, or your's doesn't seem as packed with sound, or as well thought out as someone else's.  Your song had a great energy to it, had great structure, and I thought the melody was a big thumbs up.

Thanks! I know it's not

Thanks! I know it's not perfect, but knowing it gets good feedback is really inspiring. Thanks again for the positive criticism! :D

Hello, professional expert

Hello, professional expert music guy! :D I've been doing a lot of experimenting and playing around in Caustic, more so than actually mixing or producing some official beats. I'm also working on improving my knowledge on music theory; been learning about modes and different time signatures. Just making sure I'm up there, before I go releasing lots of stuff.

Thanks, I'm also expecting some great stuff from you too! Keep it up, I'm really digging the YouTube videos! :D
