wow the forums have been quiet lately, give me some time to put together a new track! I have put a compressor on master and some other tracks too. Don't know if I have used it correctly but you can certainly see the difference in the soundwave. my soundwaves are normally one big chunk of sound but this has all the peaks and falls you could ever want lol. hope you like it. feel free to sing rap or doo wop along if you feel it

Nice track, it actually inspired me to record it and remix a little hiphop beat to it with some trance thrown in. :) I was using my arpeggiator and the note changes are fun to play to. Is this 110 bmp? That seems like what my drum machine was playing nice with.
Yeah, I know this is a caustic forum but sometimes its fun to remix stuff on the hardware boxes. As far as the sampler, that is what this song could use next. Hopefully Caustic and the future projects based on it ( :) yes you hardcore forum users have something to look forward to ) will get some fun community remixing happening.

I see that Loopstack is the beggining of on-the-fly sampling to integrate into caustic, but I can see a use for a more general sampling protocol..... if it is possible to take a "line-in" on android devices instead of just using the extremely small condenser mic on the phone....
BTW, this track sounds good. I'm tempted to suck this in and jumble it up too, but I'm busy with another adventure. ;)
Hey mike yeah its 110 bpm, I had a bug in it which made the second drum beat come in a millisecond late and that really annoyed me but I managed to work around, just had to extend a bit here, delete a bit there. Can you post your remix, id love to hear it. I hope there is an arp on the way, not used them much (only in reason) but think they are really cool. Well jblann if you find time feel free to play around, im always impressed by your offerings and I took your advice in this song, I used a master compresser and the full reverb standard rhodes, it sounded really good!
Glad it helped.... The art of compression is .... well.. an art. I'm still learning it myself. I enjoy using multi-band compression, but you can still bang out some good stuff with a single band (secret...... track eq's adjusted to send desired spectrum to the comp, then make up for tone in the master eq)
I have had a little thing be off too, and I'll spend hours and a few choice words trying like mad to fix it, cuz I just have to have it right!

I actually was using the electribe emx1 arp, as far as the remix, it was more of a live in the house type of thing for my kids. :) I'm sure I will get around to it, I love playing live, nice creativity.
I did notice something with the drums, it seemed about half way through the song I would loose a quarter note on my rhythm.
BTW, Caustic on the 10" tablet is really fun having in the middle of hardware synths/samplers and drum machines, it feels so futuristic. :)
