Caustic Song file (optional):
Hello all again.
I continue to experiment with Сaustic.
This is my cover of the main theme of the old Russian film "Siberiada" (1978). Composer Eduard Artemyev - the first Russian composer of electronic music. Made entirely in the program Caustic 3.0. Link to original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGXfnkWi9L4
Very nice around 0:50, even though its a cover you did a very good job expressing the original in Caustic.
Are you setting up your own synth sounds? Or are you using presets to get you started?
I don't know the original but this one is very good.
I love these arpeggiator.
I remember this as ResuRection by PPK (Who incidentally are Russian) back in 2001.
Your version is good, I think the PPK version (even though over 10 years old now) still sounds a little fresher. Good start though and I love the arps too!

Thanks for comments.
Search the sound from scratch - it's the most delicious in the process. I almost always know how to get the sound that I have in my head. But this is only addictive and subtractive synthesis. FM synthesis - it's a black hole for me. Good pad - it's also sometimes a problem that occurs. But I never use ready-made presets. I 'm mostly sound producer than a composer :).
You're right. Russian duo PPK with this theme became the first (and only one?) from Russia, who reached the third place in the UK singles chart in 2001. But this is just cover also.
привет! Мне нравится этот, очень хорошая very nice, I like this.... you recreate this very well.... I remember hearing this a bit when I was in Russia (Krasnodar/Novorrosiysk) I hope to go back some day...
Nice work, waiting to hear more.... this is smooth good listening this late at night for me...
Thank you! Positive comment - it's a push for further experiments... :)
FM synthesis was mysterious to me too before I get C3. I can remenber when DX7 was released. Only a few could program sounds because nobody couldn't explain it to the crowd.
But thank god for internet and youtube! Now you can get a lot of good videos which will explain it.
And believe it or not, FM synthesis is basically simple.
And you can build a FM synth with the ModSynth, too.
Will be posted today on Musical Android...
This is the time the night and the year
Cool! Thank you. I learned about existence of Caustic 3.0 reading your website.
Yes, really cool track and it sounds great. All your synths sound great together. I like how the subtle pad fills things in nicely and of course the catchy melody.
Yeah just awesome! The sounds go well together and it's very tied together. I like it :D
Thanks guys! :)
