This is an EIPSO Mix of Grubble a.k.a. EdibleThreat's "Perique" track.
For some reason this one has been eating at me all week, this thing just sucked my brain into insanity, I had to go back in and poke at this some more, and try some different things, to acheive a cleaner mixdown, and here is my final result. Thanks, grubble, I really enjoyed working with this piece; it is really unique and very animated, I like it alot.
Edited audio and SongFile 4-6-2016 for a few minor updates after visiting this again --- Jason
here is the SongFile for my mix
Caustic Song file (optional):
Nice
Random tidbit of info: perique tobacco is only grown in Saint James Parish, Louisiana and is my second favorite tobacco behind good old Turkish
Paint Huffing Pit Bull Puncher
Great job! The sound placements are exactly what I was looking for, stoked to know how to accomplish that now. The vocals sound waaaaay better. Im still iffy about the natural sound of the drums, I like the digital grit I had before, but they are growing on me. you should use this song and the process you used in a tutorial video. Thanks for the lesson!
Dude, you've got the .caustic file, you can take Jason's mix...and then distort the f*** out of the drums if you want

Oh yeah... duh.
Edit: also, if anyone wants to download the perique file jason redid, i'd be interested in seeing what people would do to it... remix styllllllee.
Ok, maybe I'll insert the original drums back in there, and you can see what it would sound like with your original kit...... Ok, I'll bite and try that tonight.
May I have your permission to use this song structure in an upcoming video I'm working on about mixing tips in Caustic? Bits from this Song would be a fantastic learning tool I hope to showcase in my video....
Hey, email me, I'll fill you in what I did with your vocals..... and give you a sneak peek and what I will soon share with everyone on something I discovered with how to take phone mic recordings and beef them up to "pro microphone" quality...... I use these techniques when I record audio for my videos I have up right now on my YouTube
Wow, I like the drums. That snare though... The more I listen to this track, the more I feel like it's a song I would hear on the radio, like it sounds pretty legit.
If I heard this on the radio I wouldn't have a clue it was sequenced/programmed (except maybe the Organ at 1:50) - that's a pretty incredible achievement
Really special.

what a cool track... full of creativity and well produced by Jason...now we need only the video-clip on youtube... the mystique of perique.;)
MMMMMM gotta bump this, a great classic --- "audio tracking" possible in Caustic as well as one of my condensed PocketKits in action......
