Have you wanted to try sampling in the new Caustic 3.0? If yes, there is this one unnoticeable fast noise decay if you are a beginner like me. So the trick here is that there is this "master volume" in the master mixer. That is the volume control to make the sample have a clean end. This is the fade technique. To begin a sampling process, use automation and adjust the volume pins. The 2nd last pin shall be placed at some distance depending on your instrument, extra automations and key notes. Place the last pin at 0 for complete silence. Finally export your loop.
Sampling Trick
You can do this also in the Wave editor, among other things as well....... before you add effects and other nicknacks to Export and ReSample back into the app later.
Where would the wave editor be? On the subsynth?
What could one other way be?
Watch the tutorial vids to find where the wav editor is. There is a wav editor in the pcmsynth, beatbox, and vocoder.
bingo..... I use it almost exclusively... only time now, when I export and use an outside tool, is for EQ control before bringing back into the app..... but I'm sure that will come soon. The new waveform editor is really cool and very easy to use.
