New track - Someone Somewhere in Summertime (re-edit)

This is a re-edit of another classic Simple Minds track - Someone Somewhere in Summertime.

It's taken quite a while to get the sound right, even with the sheet music as I've tried to stay true to the original but add my own glitch re-edit feel.

I used the glitch drumkit previously uploaded and everything else was created in Charlatan VSTi and Superwave P8 VSTi. I also had a little help from dblue glitch VSTi, highly recommended!

Love those melodies and the glitch beats. The breaks at about 1min and 2:20 felt a bit weird, have to hear it again.

How are the VSTi's used? Aren't they like plugins used in a DAW (reason or FL)? Can they be plugged into caustic.

Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for your comments.

I started using the VSTIs in a program called minihost. This lets you load an instrument then record notes or chords as a wav file which can be cleaned up in audacity.

I've also just started using Ableton live lite but it's taking a bit of figuring out! I still use caustic a lot because I find it quicker and easier to create songs, just need those initial steps to get my own sounds into it

Listened to the song again,

Listened to the song again, megaglitchbreaks work fine. Guess I was caught by surprise at first, didn't get them.

Nicely done.
