Are you still having problems with the cpu meter jumping and play back?
(AdvancedWaveEditor) Smoothen? it turns any comiplex waveform into a near half sine wave, rendering the sample to virtually nothing.... I would think a slider for smoothing amount would be available (if this is a smoothing effect used in SubSynth's waveform creator....
Update: ok just got C3.1 ORB on my android gear, and after setting latency to lowest and cpu balance to 00 (fastest) running a few of the problematic tracks so far seems to be not choking on my GNex nor my Tab2...... I'm running some other things through both devices right now, and so far seems stable. I think I can now safely move forward with PKP2 and Builderz for C3.1, it is going to rock. Rej has knocked another HomeRun with this.

congrats with the update, especialy bought a new tablet with usb hosting for using caustic with my midi keyboard, (only 60 euro with quadcore it was an aldi discount sold as kids pad for 5 years and up ;)

How do I get the update on my Android?
If you go to the Caustic page (from the top menu) there is an APK download link there for the official release.
Google sometimes rolls updates out slowly but if you want to force it, just launch the Play store, look for Caustic and you should see an "update" button.
Hi. Just want to ask if BB users can also get an update to 3.1. I'm running Caustic 3 on BB10 and the current version installed is 3.0.2. Thanks.

1. Small switching presets (a, b, c, etc. ..) to automate switching presets and can be included in the song. would be great.
2. 3 or 4 effects in channel.
3. May be Group tracks and effects tracks, send.
4. Effects: 15-20 bands graphic equalizer with a depth of 24 dB, multiband compressor, reverb impulse, good as in the master section.
5. Effects for each sound in BeatBox.

Is that intended as a compliment, or an insult? It's be rather foolish to expect a mobile app to be directly comparable to Reason; and yet Caustic gets the fundamentals down perfectly. Incredible.

FWIW, feature requests should be put in its proper forum.... Remember, this is a mobile app with software and hardware limitations as such, all built by one man.... Please keep that in mind, as we enjoy this incredible update and the tools we have now.
Alot of what is being asked for, I have working on some tools I will release hopefully soon from my end, so Rej (Caustic's Developer) can catch a break.
So, enjoy the goldmine that we have now and let's go make some music!
Hi, i was wondering what was planned about future version of Caustic ?
I really love your software. I'm just missing audio recording - i hate the fact of importing/exporting my tracks to another Sequencer Daw.
Basically it stops you during the creative process.
Watch Rej's tuitorial videos.... you can record into the app right now.... more features to expand that are coming as well in the coming months...
yeah i know i can record sample and probabely trigger them during the song using the beat box. But i miss at least one track of pure "audio recording" on the top of tracks i created with Caustic;

News Flash: Caustic 3.1 was released months ago....
I know Rej must be really busy in his personal affairs and would love to give us the updates quicker just as I would love to spend more time making music. I try and keep things in perspective and any time I mention 3.2 it's out of pure anticipation and excitement for what's to come and just talking about 3.2 helps pass the time.
I also look at the fact that without Caustic I would be much further behind in my production skills. I have hit some major personal milestones with mixing and arrangement using this program because of its mobile and ease of use nature.
Rej has offered this community so much with this awesome little app and his hard work, and to wait a little while for an update is not to much for Rej to ask of us as I believe he has earned that!
Yeah, sorry for the lack of news. I'm still working on 3.2, and other things. I've taken some contract work as well. We also moved into a new house at the beginning of the year and there's tons to do around the house. My oldest has started school and I still take care of the baby when he's not in daycare, sick, etc.
This is the unfortunate side-effect of dealing with a solo dev and not a large company. It's also why I can charge less for the app than others and why you get the actual programmer answering your questions and not a PR rep... there's good and bad.
It is how it is.
Oh, and please don't revive super old threads like this, it makes things messy.
