Caustic Song file (optional):
I've finally "finished" my orchestral track, James Horner's opening titles from Star Trek III. It's been a bit of a slog and as Jason mentioned in his posts, a bit of a fight with some of the samples. That said the Sonatina orchestra pack is really really good and gives a really good range of instruments to use.
I've included the .caustic file in case anyone is interested in poking about.
I'm a bit torn with the orchestral pack, but I already ranted about it, but in general it is very nice to have handy, to be able to do things like this.
Bojeroo, nice work on this.... you certainly put alot of effort into this, the score you chose was not an easy one to do.
Well done.
Thanks Jason. I've spent more time on this track than any other just because of the intricacies. It's not perfect by any means, but I learnt an awful lot about decomposing an orchestral piece and lots of other good stuff.
Captain, is it not time for a colorful metaphor?

Nice job on this sound track....i love when the trombone section comes in with the main star trek theme....pretty dam good for a 10 dollar android app.
Totally agree. The brass was the most satisfying part to do. :o)
really incredible. You've raised the bar so high with this. Thanks for posting the file!

Kidding. This has inspired me to consider attempting a cover of the theme to "The Last Starfighter".
