Cover track - Apidya

A short cover I put together from memory of Chris Huelsbeck's excellent track from the 1992 Amiga game, Apidya. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I tried to recreate the retro/chip-tune style of the original and Caustic was perfect for doing it.

Just a bit of fun!

Apidya

bojeroo;

I've really been into that retro/chip-tune and 8 bit sound too.

I didn't know the game or the music.
Found it here.

What I like about them is

What I like about them is that they had to squeeze everything they could out of the hardware and often used neat tricks to do it. A bit like we see on the forums here where people are using clever techniques to get the most out of Caustic with excellent results.

Caustic itself is like that. Rej has created a small efficient app that can do more than one would think.

Jeah!

Awesome job on this... I remember that game and the track this was done after! I was the only kid on my block with an Amiga, such an awesome machine.

efficient app

It really is incredible. I've been able to throw tracks together in Caustic with better results than a lot of people achieve with Reason. It's very powerful- capable of so much, and yet it is so simple. And cheap.

Game music

I had previously uploaded my remake of the level 2 boss theme from Panzer Dragoon 2 (Sega Saturn game) on SC, but I just overhauled it & uploaded a few minutes ago. I found the original song on Youtube too! Check my new post "Vapor Trail XL" in the Show & Tell forum for both of them.

Amiga game tracks... can't wait to hear them! (Space Harrier... Shadow of the Beast... Out of This World.. hint, hint)
