Patterns in piano-roll are moved around or deleted

I have a problem with my patterns in the piano-roll in the sequencer. The patterns in the piano-roll are moved around when I move and delete patterns in the Patterns part of the sequencer. I also have problems marking existing pattern or entering new ones in Patterns for the instruments that I also have in the piano-roll. I hope that understand what I'm trying to explain here. If not don't hesitate to ask because I would like to get this straightened out since it is really annoyning and time consuming having to reenter or replace the patterns all the time. Any one else that has experienced the same as I have?

I dont know what happens if

I dont know what happens if you drop a pattern block on top of a pianoroll entry in the sequencer... if deleting a pattern block also removes a pianoroll entry behind it? Is that what you're saying? Ill hafta load up something and try it out for myself... perhaps RejDev can weigh in with better understanding....

It might be a selection bug,

It might be a selection bug, i.e selecting something in the piano roll then swapping to patterns doesn't de-select the stuff in piano roll. When you hit delete, you're deleting what you see in pattern view PLUS what's selected behind... that's my guess. I'll make sure to test this for the next release.

I remember having this kind

I remember having this kind of problem when I forgot to "deselect" notes/blocks. Make sure you press the "multi-select" button twice before selecting a bunch of notes to move, otherwise the previously selected ones will be moved too. (But then if moving affects both the sequencer and piano roll then it is definitely a bug.)

By the way, Rej, a great feature would be to be able to add/remove some bars at a given place. For example if we want to add an intro to a song.

I learned that lesson the

I learned that lesson the hard way a couple times..... now I always double tap the batch-select button before I do my thing...... you never know if you had a pattern block selected earlier you forgot about..J

Ok, I just managed to

Ok, I just managed to reproduce the bug consistently this afternoon. Here's the setup if anyone is interested.

It has to do with things being selected "behind the scenes" when you're working in pattern mode. If you place a note trigger in painoroll mode then switch to pattern mode and touch the same spot (this is easier to repro in Windows), it won't offer to place a new pattern because it selected the pianoroll note in the other view (this confirms your placement bug ice-machine). Now still in pattern mode, touch that spot again and drag. Now go look in the piano roll, the note will have moved... d'oh!

It's fixed, it'll be in the next release. Sorry guys.
And thanks to Jason for the video showing the bug.
