freeware pack
The Builderz Pro Demo APK for Caustic 3.1 is now Available. CLICK ANYWHERE HERE TO GET IT NOW...
Android and iOS market demo releases will go online once I finish the tuitorial and intro video regarding Builderz Pro. I am taking a huge risk creating content in this fashion, but I'm hoping it will please and amaze users, because anyone can quickly and easily create music of any style using the tools I am making here.
MIDI keyboards preferred, but not necessary...
Sweeeeeet!!!!
I get an error when i try to install it
what kind of error? Tested fine in all of my gear..... in fact I just uploaded the updated APK (fixed a few balancing issues with a couple presets), give that a whirl, and let me know what happens...
Hey Mike what do you think? I took your 3D components piece you made, and underlayed this..... looks kind of cool, and really shows a "Builderz" theme of sorts...
It was a parsing error
I noticed that all the 10 times i downloaded it it was just about 1.44mb and today it worke.
Great stuff im very excited about the full pack
I appreciate any feedback, and am still taking requests, I have plenty of room for more goodies here. This content pack is going to be huge.
Sorry if this is a stupid question ("There are no stupid questions, only stupid people" - Mr. Garrison), but what exactly is "Builderz Pro"? What differentiates this from your other soundpacks?
Nice Jason, just noticed this post.
Yes definitely goes with your theme.

I am preparing the introduction and tuitorial video that will explain this.
In short, this content pack is completely different than anything I or anyone else has created for Caustic. Everything offered with BP is in SongFile format. Presets for sounds (layered and with enhanced effects and controls etc....) virtual modelling for preamps, amps, and cabinets, new ideas and hints for PocketKit Pro III, and much more.
Grab the APK and have a sneak peek, and you'll get the idea, why this will be much different and much better than anything I've made before. I have dreamed of doing something like this for many years, but didn't have the tools or hardware that could set things up like this. Caustic 3.1 has opened a huge door for me to be able to do this, and create some of the biggest sonic textures and palletes you'll find anywhere for a mobile music production app.
The full version is going to be huge, trust me, you'll love it.
I'm holding off the GPS and iOS public release until I get the video done, because it will be a very helpful tool to help understand what, how, and why I made this the way I did.
I'm anxious for the content of this pack. When I tell my new phone will be a safe buy. The quality and variety of sounds creativity increases exponentially

I installed the APK and loaded some of the content, but it's way over my head. I'm gonna have to wait for the explanatory/tutorial video.
I did buy PocketKitPro 2 last night though.
I hope that it wouldnt be over your head. When you load up a preset file it starts immediately at the master modular screen where you can play right away, no need to go to the other slave machines.
My goal this weekend is to get that video put together.....
I see that it's a modular taking input from one or more slave machines; I just don't really understand what I'm looking at. Full disclosure: I haven't done anything with the machine input feature; I don't even understand it really. So I'm not grasping the overall concept here. Again, I'll wait for the video.
Its making use of the input functoin in the modular to give a bunch of crazy sweet effects. Its like loading a preset for the sound and then loading a seperate preset for effects. This will help people who are afraid of the modular (like myself). press play and hear the sweetness. Ive been waiting for good sounding virtual guitar and this will be it I think. J have you figured out a realistic choir sound for this release?
DF
I have a large batch of guitar preamp, amp, cabinet models, some are in the demo package....
StePH, When you load up a SongFile, all you have to do to start off is play notes, via MIDI or on-screen keyboard.... Its really that simple of a setup, so you don't have to do all of this extra work.... I did it for you. I hope to have the video done in tue coming days, when I am ready to shove this demo out in public markets..... Just wanted to give you guys an early peek....
What I'm seeing is that these have to be loaded as songs, and so only one can really be used at a time. Is there a way to use more than one?
That is the one caveat to this method.... HOWEVER, you can build onto a preset SongFile, by saving the slave machine presets, and reloading into the SongFile you are currently working on, and build onto it. I will show how that works in my upcoming video...... how to load these presets, and how to build your own or add on to what you have already loaded up.
I just put together 15 more presets, I will be pushing the 50mb APK size limit on this pack when it is done, this will be jammed full with as many presets as I can squeeze in there.
Interesting stuff Jason - it's great to have you and Skarabee delving under the surface and coming back with some pro tips that we can all use

Hey testers! I'm still waiting to hear from some of you, but if you could do me a favor? If you have MIDI controller gear (Android or iOS), please try it out, and let me know how it goes for you and your gear.... I have a few issues that I emailed Rej about, but I'm curious to how other users and other gear fare with MIDI...
My batch of instrument presets is almost done, and finishing up some modelling presets as well, and will being going back to meta-tag alot of these... video tuirorial is still in production (grrrr...... not enough time in the days)
give me a couple of days and I'll make sure I have a play - I take it your talking about your FX/modelling templates - are you noticing wierd stuff when recording from the modular as a master slaved to the other machines you have in the rack?
https://soundcloud.com/james-muir
https://www.facebook.com/james.muir.77
Yes, but it also manifests itself with single machines..... I get stuck notes (missing NoteOff commands somewhere) be it live or recording..... strangely today, it hasn't hiccuped on me. It's been kind of hit or miss, I'm beginning to wonder if it is my device, or the larger controller with LED's running etc..... I'm still investigating it as I'm recording more bits for my video project on, showing off some presets etc...
Alternatively, you could load the preset songfile and build your track around it, and save it under a different name, which seems to me like less work than saving some instrument presets and reloading them into a new songfile, yes?
Yes, absolutely, that is my goal "builderz" build onto what I made to create your tracks, these new presets are loaded up with FX, and automations and sequences so you have big sounds and methods to start with.
I'm recording video sequences of playing some of these presets right now, so you will be able to see how this works, for live or recording application...
Never mind; I should try reading for comprehension once in a while - shadowman was asking a different question from the one I thought I was addressing.
I have played with the presets of the demo, with my M-Audio Oxygen II 61 connected to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8" and nothing wrong here...

My Tab2 behaved suprisingly well last night, just an occasional few stuck notes.... I'll be shooting more video segments tonight, so I'll be testing more..
Some nice sounds in this demo, but not easy to use several of them in the same song...
http://pquenin.free.fr/pqnaudio
http://www.soundclick.com/thepqueninproject
How so? I had four of them running at the same time in a song and no hiccups (running on 3 year old hardware technology)
It's not the matter, just that when you want to import a new "preset" in a song, as the preset is in song format, you have to build it again by hand in the new song... And the limit of 14 machines can be quickly reached...
You have done a great work, I will have to check your Caustic pack sooner ar later...

I will add some things to sort that issue out, and I will include instructions on my video on how to add on presets, if you wish to have more than one for your tracks, its not that hard to "builderz on" to it.... very good point to include on this project.
Wow!!! Builderz Pro is so good! Really shows the way! Especially the possibilities now made reality with the modular. And the video is tops as well. I am a fan of JBlann. Thanks, dude!
I've posted this in S&T earlier, but also wanted to drop this here, for those following this thread. I encourage you to take a peek to better understand what I have been putting together here....
I can't wait for this.
I was working on making some really bizarre effects "plugins" last night for total sound warping..... also made some "sonic maximizers", some multi-band.... as well as some vocal and instrument recording tools (goes in hand with device's mic recording).... I'm almost at the point now, where I have to split this into two content packs..... one for the music instrument presets, and one for all of the DSP and effects etc.....
The production quality of the builderz pro demo song is of a very high standard. You keep the pan set in the middle for each track, eh? Anyway you know how to get great sounds songs and mixes in and out of Caustic for sure!
It's all done in Caustic, I never post-prod the music and demos you hear outside of the app....
Please overload!
Nobody is too confused yet? Its a different setup, and loading extras on top is an extra step or two, but I am confident of it, and will fully support and answer emails from anyone needing help etc.... I will have a new tuitorial video walking through the music presets and the effects "plugins" and other tools I am putting together for vocals and mic recordings processing for production....
Think that is a good idea. As the video you made can look complicated for many people.
I wonder how many people that have not used Caustic or seen it and they see a video like that would be turned on to Caustic and how many would be scared away?
Maybe if you have time a good idea is to do something written with images and step by step instructions on the things that look more complex?
This you could link to in the Play Store page.
This is the time the night and the year
I know, you're right.... This goes into deep waters, and I gotta think real hard and make good walkthrough tuitorials to help make this as understandable as possible, especially for new Caustic Warriors.
But I think if I can help people get over some hurdles, Builderz will set Caustic on a new level, that other apps out there will have a challenging fun time catching up to.
I have a hard time to see how anyone will be able to catch up to Caustic or SunVox on Android (or G-Stomper as Groovebox)!
I guess there is the possibility that some of the iOS apps will start to be ported but as Caustic / SunVox are two of the best "workstation" apps on iOS...
But in either case I love that you are taking things to another level!
This is the time the night and the year
Thats been my goal from the beginning of this adventure nearly three years ago. Rej did some awesome things for me back then, so I am now returning the blessing. I will push this thing to make Caustic stay on the top of the heap, in hopes that one day he can do this full-time. That is my mission.
Jason's on a mission from god!! (((( blues brother voice )))
I doubt that.... just a guy here that's sharing his passion and experience by giving tools to others, that's all...
I have a hard time to see how anyone will be able to catch up to Caustic or SunVox on Android (or G-Stomper as Groovebox)!
Sunvox trumps caustic on the audio/sonic exploration side in every way. I think if these two authors were to support each others efforts, youd have sorta like what you have with LIVE+MAX on pc/mac...where you have two music programs geared toward opposite ends of the production spectrum that actually work together to make a complete whole.
One can only hope...Until then, I will sit back and watch EIP figure out how to get caustic to be more like sunvox with the routing. Its kinda funny sometmes.
If time allows, I have some new ideas that I am considering testing out before I release it to the wild here....... Time is my enemy this season, ugh.... Heheheh I still have my new workstation still 3/4 built, and it's just sitting there waiting to be set up with an OS and my backup data, go figure.
G-Stomper sounds great, better than Caustic that has a more raw sound. I have tried several time to work in G-Stomper but it's impossible for me, can't find my way in this jungle. Sunvox is a total maze too. On the opposite, Caustic is so evident and direct.

I imported Builders Pro. When i go to Modular songs it comes up but when i try to open it it goes to "parent"
Im gonna watch thw vdo now im doing something wrong if the rest of the world gets it.......?
Hi there, these "super presets" are loaded up as SongFiles...... goto Load Song, then browse to the Builderz Pro Instrumentals (or Builderz Demo) Song Folder, and you will find the content there. If you still have trouble, contact me via email.
Watch the video at the top of this thread for more details or visit my YouTube page for other Builderz Pro material that explains many ways this works.
