Out of curiousity have you tried out the Buliderz Pro demo? These presets are all set up with FX and other goodies ready to rock, but I have other tools coming on the full content pack, that goes beyond just the typical synth presets by themselves.....
Im looking for punch, flavor, it just not what I look for in sounds, it doesn't it, I'm not sure if its my loops, or if I just have when it comes to sounds
Could you possibly post a SongFile of what you have going right now that sounds too flat to you? I'll be happy to take a poke peek at it if you like...
I'm about to head off to bed, but at a quick glance at two of your songs, I can see you have some demo presets loaded up, the sounds you have in there can really be enhanced and beefed up, even if they are the simple single-OSC or single-sample PCM presets.... even the beatbox kit can be beefed up.
Tell you what, to show you what I mean, I will take these two tracks with me tomorrow, and come back tomorrow evening with your project SongFiles, and you can tell me if they still sound "bleh" or not.
Hey, it's a learning process..... it took me a bit of time to get used to the sonic and signal flow characters of Caustic vs. the pro-gear I had used before, but I'll tell you, once you hit that moment, you will be able to slap together grooves quickly and easily and not have to hit this wall..... I'll kick these two files back to you tomorrow, and see what you think of it.
I'm at work at the moment so can't listen to your stuff. But listen to what other people have done and if you still think it's flat then Caustic probably isn't the tool for you.
However, I can tell you from my first caustic tracks to my current stuff the dynamics have changed massively, my songs feel more alive, brighter and more natural. My first attempts were flat, mechanical and lifeless. It's all down to practice. Look at other people's caustic tracks, many people share their work. See what they're doing and borrow tricks.
Stick around, you'll get bags of great advice, tips and tricks.
You'll get there too..... I'll help you out.... You will get there sooner than you think.... Average timeframe I've observed here over the past three years here, is three months... Three months from now you'll be pumping them out.
I noticed you didn't add any effects to the over all mix. Also if you want a big boom sound you can increase the the bass in the equalizer in the mastering section and cut the mid frequencies down. Don't be afraid to play with the knobs for everything. before you do though save your mix with a name like premixing then you can save alternate mixes to try out different settings.
Download the mix I did. add it into your songs folder. Then listen to your first mix and then load mine. Go back and forth and look at different knobs to see the changes to get an idea.
I just got home.... I will upload shortly.... Hopefully among these contributions here is something that will get your mental wheels turning.... That's what we do around here.....
Ok here you go, sir...... "Yup" EIPSO setup... there's a vibe about this littl groove that I really like.... I hope you roll with it and make something bigger from it.
It is saddening to me to see that 90% of the so-called "free" samples and sub-par content packs for (not just Caustic) many larger and smaller mobile music workstation apps are low-quality, or utilize a single sample mapped across an entire keyboard -- sample ripped from a keyboard from 20+ years ago..... it's robbery... not of just a few $$$, but of your mind. It just irritates the crap outta me. Cheap, "free", sub-standard content always hinders peoples' creativity.... It's part of why I do what I do. I aim to change that, and set a REAL standard. Mobile music workstation apps WILL change the world for producers of any caliber, on a reasonable budget, and finally have real tools to be able to create anything on your own, and it will sound good.
Maybe I'm fighting an uphill battle, but hey, I hold high standards, and I'm not gonna back down.
I had a long rant, but I touched a button and then it disappeared.
The essence:
Belitteling of people that use ´flea market sounds´ for amusement and/or serious music making, does not serve you well, even if you have an outstanding product to sell.
This reminds me of bands like the Ramones and others, who couldn't play music that well, played with crap instruments, and then not only put together good songs, but started whole movements (punk). Great sounding music is a great thing, all due respect to what Jason is building, but music is a wild animal, and often the wild is what makes it great.
Lol I didnt rant to promote anything, nor did I belittle anyone who used samples.... Read my earlier blab again.....
But anyways, there is alot of good stuff out there, and I will plug folks like Zvon, Planet-H, AudioVapor, Skarabee studios etc...... They do quality work and offer a ton of free stuff too that is original and exellent quality.
My apologies for derailing here. It was not my intention to offend...
my best quick advice is to download some free presets and peek at them, to get some ideas..... tweak away...
I have many many preset packs, its just they sound bland, add effects and tweak with them, but, they just bleh

Or what else are you exactly looking for?
yes, please help us help you by going into more detail than "bleh".
What exactly do you find average about your sounds, lack of frequency definition, vomlume, compression, stereo spatial effects?

Caustic is first thing I ever tried, looked at fl studio, didn't seem apealing and apparently the community sucked, caustic is a smaller community,

Only three months? That doesn't seem like enough time to get me to where i want to be, but if I can get there in three months id be thrilled
