This is another great one Matt. That warbley pad is so cool like a Roland Jupiter-8. I like how you break it down after the big massive part with the strings. How did you use Superwave P8? that is a free VST right? did you sample it to get the sounds into a Caustic PCM synth? Anyway really enjoyed this track.
The P8 came from a PCM file someone posted on this site and yes the P8 is a freely downloadable VST. I used it for the lead chords that come in on both the second and third crescendos that sounds like strings.
I am glad you enjoyed the track. I was looking for the smallest and thinnest drum sounds I could find in the preset group to contrast the synth attacks and make them sound "massive".
I need to start figuring out how to better master tracks so I can get the final product a little more polished. I have Adobe Audition but I just use that to add a second of silence at the beginning and to do fade outs.
The track was fun to make and I am looking forward to the next Caustic release which I hope comes out this month.
I did talk to Rej today and it might be in a week or two a public beta of 2.1 will happen on the site. As Rej puts it, no guarantees on the time frame but any of you bug squashers out there, get your cans of Raid ready.
Hi Santos, welcome to the forums! Various people have posted .caustic files in previous topics in the Show and Tell forum, but you'd have to dig through.
Mike, is there any way to make an archive of .caustic links posted to the forums in previous threads? Might make a good resource for people to learn from.
The easy way is to create a sticky thread and post all the links. This would require someone to go through all posts and check. :)
The other way would be using a regular expression and writing a bit of PHP on the server to search all the posts. Maybe if I get some time I will try that out. Since I highly doubt anybody is going to offer up their time to search all the show and tell posts! :)
