John Zorn - Beyond the Infinite - Harp and harcore versions

Caustic Song file (optional):

Hi there,

Here's great piece composed by John Zorn which I really like. I transcribed it into the pianoroll listening to the original versions:
grooveshark.com/#!/s/Beyond+The+Infinite/6ITdR1 (piano)
youtu.be/75N32PZ5baY (cool band)

I didn't do this tedious work for a particular reason apart from a kind of obsession about this song... But the result is cool enough to share. I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do. It sounds OK with some of the harp samples of the Sonatina package (sso.mattiaswestlund.net), and I made another silly hardcore version:

Have fun with the Caustic and midi files:

PS. Bonus points for those who can figure out what time signature this song is written in... devil

7/8th?

7/8th?

Nice track, very musical, I imagine this being played on a nylon hollowbody.... you've been away a while?   How you been?

Hehe, there's probably some 7

Hehe, there's probably some 7/8th around, but in fact it switches all the time. Maybe there are 10 different time signatures used in total along the track.

Yes I've been "away" for a while, even if I still lurk around here regularly and I still use Caustic often (mostly to write/transcribe songs, less for really mixing/producing because that's another craft).

It's annoying that we can't

It's annoying that we can't replace a song on soundcloud. The harp is really too distant and not loud enough.
