I haven't been into industrial style for several years, but your grooves make it sound very appealing in a unique way... keep 'em comin' .... this is smoooooth
Thank you! One sound I love & use pretty often is adding the bitcrusher effect over the drums. On this track I turned the depth way down & the rate about 1/4 up to create a nasty distorted boom on the three kickdrums, and it turned the cowbell into a resonating static-y ring. In case anyone hasn't tried it, play with the bitcrusher's settings over different drum kits, there are sooo many cool unique sounds possible with just that one effect. I also like to use it on ultra-low basslines from the subsynth & combine it with different chorus effect settings. It really adds a dramatic impact to the bass, which sounds crazy awesome on a car/ home stereo with a powerful subwoofer. Anyone looking for resonating, earth-shaking bass should try this combo & play with the settings (many low bass presets thru inverted or standard low pass filters on the subsynth work amazingly)
The vocal track I used for this is from a mystery song off a live recording of a DJmix by Sandra Collins at Winter Music Conference in 2003. I really, really wish I knew who it was- it's an awesome trance track and that girl's got a beautiful voice. If anyone knows the name or artist of this vocal track, please let me know! It's been driving me nuts for 9 years & nobody seems to have a tracklist for her set that night, and all I have is the bootlegged CD (it was never officially released, unfortunately)

Loved the ethereal, angelic voice. Very slick production.
I really like your use of distorted sounds in this track. It makes for some smooth but fuzzy textures. Very nice!

Great tips Andy! I will have to give that a try.
Played with the bitcrusher on basslines, most recently on Cold Inside. Hard effect to control, but awesome sounding results.
