Oh yes, thank you, I'm so

Oh yes, thank you, I'm so stupid sometimes... What about making the waveform and the time ruler independant, so you can move the waveform around to align with a position on the time ruler, then you will have another 'lock' button to link the waveform and the time ruler, so they move together, as it is now...

Dumb question alert!

Dumb question alert!

If you clear all the factory samples that are listed in the app, does it affect anything? I presume the whole point of this is you can replace these with your own samples and the factory ones only become active if you had the actual Korg hardware?

Thanks for that Jason. I don

Thanks for that Jason. I don't have a VS myself either but  just wanted to be clear that clearing preset samples en masse to replace with my own didn't cause any issue within the app or have any impact when sharing samples with Caustic.

Cheers for the response.

@Kilyjay no, and clearing

@Kilyjay no, and clearing doesn't even delete the sample files in the "samples" folder either, in case you want to re-use them for something else, it just send a command to the machine to clear the memory used on the channel. Because they're not meant to be big samples (the VS can only hold 4MB total), I wasn't worried about the samples folder growing too big.

I thought it took care of the samples on the unit itself, not any samples saved on your phone.....   My apologies if I was misleading, sorry...

Something I noticed, and it's

Something I noticed, and it's probably my lack of understing of how this unit is designed to function (I need to go ahead and order one) but I tried to load up a second sample to compare to my previous (same sourced sample) to compare my stamped modifications:

But as a note to other users who try to do this:

Loading up a second sample with the same name as the previous sample will overwrite your changes in the previous sample (due to shared file name I think)

I thought was a hiccup at first, but when I loaded up two Tom samples from two different source folders (both had the same file name -- my mistake there also) the second sample overwrote the first sample, so I had two copies of the second Tom sample.

I don't think it's a bug, but a user error (me surprise) for not operating this app/virtual VS correctly (as opposed to other samplers I've used in the past) and trying to do things "outside of the box"

Thanks for the clarification

Thanks for the clarification Rej.

Jason - no probs and no real confusion - I kind of assumed it was as Rej has confirmed anyway!

Hi, what with demise of 32bit apps in iOS 11 are there plans to update the Volca sample editor to 64bit? It's the last 32 bit app on my iPad and I rely on it.

Realise this is an old thread...

Thanks

Doug

Any plans to bring this app

Any plans to bring this app up to date for iOS 11 or 12? Even better would be to integrate it into Caustic.
