Beside we won't get your killer sounds if you're stuck in prison.

BTW who did write the demo song? I assumed it was Rej..it has a Zen like perfection As I said; always liked it.

My comment was in jest, Jason

My comment was in jest, Jason kicks ass with Caustic. He is the Caustic Samurai. I would also venture to say, there is a bit of musical skill in his soul as well.

He's also volunteered some of his spare time to be the sound designer in some of the upcoming applications from myself.

Oh I know, I think were creating a pretty healthy little community here with people that love music and mobile applications!

I can't wait till I get you people some beta apps from myself. I have been working tirlessly the last two weeks firming up the foundation for some insane things to come that will extend Caustic.

J this is an awesome new demo! How did you go about making the risers and transition effects?

Well now I can't give away

Well now I can't give away ALL my secrets can I?  Turning any sound into a riser is a snap.   Transitions like what you hear there involves a couple simple steps and a wav trim, and voila -- a sneakbacky type effect.   An effect and Noiz Builderz pack is currently being formulated, but it is not at the front of the line for release quite yet. cool

Now with having the ability

Now with having the ability in the pcmsynth to go to 8 measures this should be a bit easier for the nice long riser effects. The way I do it is add a new sample and root/start/end to the same key then set the measures I want and set the loop to match the measure length. I then automate the volume to my liking. Is this a good way to do it?

Yes, you kinda got the right

Yes, you kinda got the right idea..... but also note, that for long drone type sounds or riser effects and such, wether you want to time it or not, I typically drop those notes into the pianoroll, thus leaving the pattern section open for musical content or other FX that you may want to use in patterns or mix it up, without inturrupting the long sounds.....  I'm considering making all the FX sounds (at least in a single preset) note on/off, so you specify the note length when putting data into pianoroll or patterns.... other FX presets may be touch a note and let it go type sounds as well, depends on the effect  type and how I group them all together.  But FX presets will be jammed full of many many sounds to cover more or entire keyboard in the synth, to give much more variety than what is currently offered right now.

Oh man, I forgot about the piano roll completely lol! I had issues with it dropping and moving notes a while ago and kind of gave up on it. I will give it another try. Thanks for the tips and help Jason.

I believe some of the

I believe some of the PianoRoll weirdness is gonna be resolved in the 2.1 release..... if you test it out in the Beta 5 build, the problems should no longer exist. cool
