hey guys :) this is my first track i made on caustic 3. its pretty short for the psytrance genre, and i dont use to many "effects" as known usually in this music due to my lack of skills with this great app :)
Everybody of you is welcome to listen to my track, and give comments, tips, whatever!
Thanks and keep rockin!
Mike
Wow!
Hmmm... the effects used well...
lack of skills? It's ok.. it's the first track!
♬ Aliens approaching...
yes, i still work on this piece, trying to make it sound better, with more sounds. i miss something in the background, but i didnt find something good yet...

Not bad for your first one;) it has a structure and interesting sounds...just a bit of equing and matering along with automations and your good^
Keep experimenting and you'll get there~

Good start mike_rofone. Take time to make your tracks and you will get the sound that you want. Im not familiar with psytrance but just a little bit suggestion, is it ok to use padsynth? Maybe it can help you to make it more lively. :)
hey :)
thanks a lot for the uplifting words. i spend every spare minute on experimenting with sounds and synths , its a lot of fun.
i dont use the padsynth til now, bit i can try. right now i stuck on the modular synth, and theres so much to do :)

do you have any suggestions what i can do again the "void" in the background, i miss something there, it sound so weak when only the lead and the bass is on at the end of the track..

You're experimenting with the modular synth. Nice one mike_rofone. Maybe some other time i will do it also.
Pretty good for your first track. Welcome!
thanks a lot :)

N.V.I.V. here's some good psytrance stuff, uploaded to teh YooToobz by our own Britt:

As suggested, the padsynth is nice for filling in a sparse arrangement with a nice chordal "wash".
Sounds GREAT! Using the effects could fill the void you speak of. Try a chorus, or two, and play with the settings. Have fun.

Yup, enjoying it massively
Way better than my early efforts - love the dripping water PCM Synth type patch too.

thank guys :) i will try the padsynth, maybe i will post another version next week.

Looking forward to it.
If you don't have fun...it can be heard. The dodgeriddim sounded fun. Psytrance is a great genre. Not many have the balls to start off with it...and do as well as you. The breaks build ups, and come backs are nice. Copy & paste the drum sequences. Then, add more kicks. Do that a couple of times and throw them into the next version. Welcome to the forum. If you need help with anything...just ask. Have fun.

wow, thanks :) i listen a lot, and analyze the tracks in my brian trying to make them sound the best what is possible :) my favourites at the time are space tribe and azax syndrome. i like that full on. its so uplifting.
and i came to the clue that sometimes its better to add just another hi-hat to the whole thing could make it drive :D its the small things

Good song
Indeed. Or even just an echo can make a world of difference.

thanks :)
yes, echo is quite good, to add more "room" to the sound

I like adding a chorus to bass lines. Depth & wet turned all the way up, rate & delay 1/3 up, and the chorus type as two diamonds. It gives a really full sound.
Save often and save different versions of the same track...in case you mess up like me. Don't be afraid to adjust everything.

i save every 3 seconds haha :D and after every session i copy everything on my sd card, because my first tablet broke after 2 week, and i dont trust this one as well ;)

and stuff.
I know you're Cows of Truth...But, HOLY COW! You don't listen to psytrance? How about Goa trance? Very similar they are. Even Juno Reactor has been touring India (mainly the Goa region) for a while now. But, his Eastern European following is deeper.

I dont listen to trance that much, even though i made one and im making one. i just, you know, have a different music taste. That's why I make music with different genres.
I just, dont listen to most old shool rave type music. But I do listen to house.
