Fun with loops part 3. Used a downtempo loop in this one, put chorus and some distortion on it (fuzz I think), and added some distorted clicks (foldback). This loop wasn't so much fun because Caustic kept playing errors, either it wouldn't trigger were I told it to in the sequencer, or it just kept on playing when it should stop. That's why there's a 5 sec silence at the start, had to work around it. Strange really, it's a two measure loop, didn't have trouble with the four measure loop in Sociopathic Lover... Also no problems with the loop in Data Con... Anyway, maybe it's not in the update.

Used a couple of Jason's presets, think it was waterpad, insomnia, and comet or cosmic keys. I think one of demopack 3, since I was looking at those.

Maybe it's still too sharp... Turned it down some in the end, but it still seems to be a bit much... Maybe it wants to be like that, I don't know.

The title is inspired by the work of ~NabaruN~, an old friend who also happens to be on soundcloud.

Maybe... I triggered it every measure with the beatbox, but the loop takes two measures to run down, maybe thats why caustic got confused. Should have put it in the pcm instead, that may have fixed.

You may be right about that..

You may be right about that.... when I first started working with Caustic (I think it was January '12)  I tried setting up loop partials in BB, and ran into alot of problems, tuning and syncing tempos and such, really went out of the scope of BB's original design intent, and moved it over to the PCMSynth, and well the rest is history...

OTOH, did you set up a MuteGroup on that loop in BB? doing that may help tame down your problem?  it's not just for controlling OH and CH (hats)

No mute, but only the loop was in there, no other samples. Not sure why I used the bb, probably wasnt thinking clearly. Used the pcm for a superimposed four bar loop in Sociopathic and didnt have any problems then, that one sounded so much better constantly overlapping itself, meaty :) Also gave the impression of a weird flanger effect when it started up, managed to confuse someone with that.

So I guess I should have known not to use the bb.

This is really excellent. I started to follow ~NabaruN~, at your suggestion. The loops are adding another dimension to you great work

Nabarun isn't very involved in the sc thing, mostly just uploads, only gives me feedback behind the scene. He uses Ableton.

Just suggested a collab involving the mutual exchange of shorter or longer loops, I'm gonna get to play with Nabarun techno loops :)
