Caustic Song file (optional):
Soooo......This is the 1st track I've posted publicly. I'm looking for some advice / feedback on this track (production wise especialy) I'm producing tracks on mobile phone at present & don't have access to studio monitors at the moment.
This track is still in the works, will be adding a bit more.
I think I'm ok at coming up with a track however I don't believe my production / mastering skills are the best by any means..........how does this sound? Does it need more transition between sounds? More / less compression? How does the structure sound? ect ect?
Much appreciated, thanks.
Hi there twit3d solotud3. I'm not a professional music maker nor very well experienced one. I think the patterns are good. Just a little bit transition, or additional automations will do. In compressions, i can't tell if that was too much or too less. I was using compressors just to avoid clipping sounds. In mastering, i think its up to you. Take note the clarity of each sound. Till now, i was still experimenting on mastering. Hope that my words are helpful. Welcome to SC Community. :)
I like what you've done with this. I takes too long to get going for me personally, I'd cut about 30 seconds out at the beginning where it's just the drums. It gets really interesting around the 2 minute mark and beyond though. There's some really nice sounds on this.
The production sounds fine to me, certainly good enough to get your ideas across. Considering you're just using your mobile and it's the first track you've posted here it's very impressive actually.

Cool driving track. I think it's structured and automated well. I like this kind of arrangement / buildup.. that vocal is dope too. At minute 8 I would dance to pieces in a club... Yeah! (If I were 20 again)

Thanks for the comments.......mindfool I took note of the "30 sec intro" comment, thanks. Added couple new synth sounds (pcm synth) & some sound effects from my sample cds.
EKT.....loving your work (ravers in trance especialy), been listening on sound cloud, very impressive stuff & really like the production aswell.
For the minute this track is finished, I'll probably tweek here & there in the week onced my ears have had a break.
Time to move on to something more melodic next.......feedback / tips ect all welcome, thanks.
Decent mix..... I would need time to.really sit down and examine your SongFile. This has a classic early 90's rave tone, but I think with todays' tools some elements could use some slow subtle modulation.
If I get some time, I'll pull this up and do an EIPSO 15 minute peek-poke and kick something back to you...
Think I need to update latest caustic file.......Just realised I had a clear audio setting on my phone preventing flat sound.....raging lol. Need a new pc & some studio monitors pronto, this must sound nothing like the way I had it at my end
I have something done here for you to check out what I did; but I am not able to upload it here right now. I'll post it here when I return home later this evening.
Here you go..... something to get some perspective from my angle for starters....

Thanks Jason I can hear the difference in that straight away, I've updated the finished caustic file, feel free to mess around with it if you have the time it's much appreciated, thanks again.

There's much more clarity between the 303 & the lead, I was struggling with that.
Damn where was I?!
This is dope!;)
So much energy!...love those buildups!
Great work on the automations(;
Definitely hooked from start to end!:D

This is it! For your first, this is a good start and i think you can produce more nice tracks here. Welcome to SC Community twit3d solotud3! :)
Thanks alot folks, this track actually fell off the back of a kinda piano tech house project I'm working on at the moment. I'm looking to start posting on sound cloud & start trying to build a profile for what it's worth.
If any one is up for showing off there mastering skills I'd be keen to get a final master done on the track before posting on sound cloud & ofcourse credit will be given for the contribution.
Jason had done a master on the unfinished track which was really good, was very impressed & it opened my eyes to production parts I had over looked.
Would be good to get some collaborations on the go in the future......Don't know if people do that on the forums tho.
Very cool track, I like this a lot. Especially impressive that this is your first track post!

Once I get my Studio Zone up and running at eipso.com many questions will be answered and you will better understand how easy it is with Caustic to create a good solid clean mix, and prep for final polishing in the end....
Thanks alot for the comments. New tune for 2nd track post is just about done, it's alot more melodic, break beat, cool vocals, the music's wrote, layouts finished & just to mix and polish now.
Jason I had a look at the website & I'll keep an eye on it..... Thanks again.
