2∆15 (1OO°C Chill Trap WIP)[UPDATE 2]

The clipping is real.

I heard you like bass. And BTW, the melody is soon to be a vocalist...Once I can find one. And once I come up with some lyrics. This track still has a lot of balancing issues (The bass drum is over powered. The 8O8 intro is too loud. Yadayadayada). But I want it to be punchy. Yet, still somewhat subtle. Feedback is appreciated! :3

UPDATE:

Fixed the clipping issue. Thank Rej for limiters...Heeeehehehe. Sounds ten times better now in my opinion. Now all that's left is to extend it. And nice female vocals. ^.^

UPDATE 2:

Extended it a lot. Fixed and added a few sounds. This is definitely not finished. And it most definitely isn't ending without a drop. A mild, yet bass heavy drop. Think of it as one of those "soft" drops. A nice big build. But the drop isnt like crazy with wobbles and random noises...(I realized hard and punishing wouldn't fit this tune too well. :P)...Lemme know what you guys think! :D

The groove is near perfect to

The groove is near perfect to me - trap is too often emotionless, predictable, and redundant, (not the first genre to stagnate, just the most recent).  Your song shows one way the elements of trap can be applied so much more creatively than the cookie cutter songs we all love\hate...i realize its been done before, but when written over this downtempo BPM (correct me if I'm wrong that) a different emotional range is tickled by the hi-hat rolls -  this goes from kind of poignant, although confident, to a build (nice chords) that I was surprised to hear as ...well, kind of "epic"!  Trap often tries to be just that, but I can't recall when last it surprised me.  Have fun with the bass drop, and don't rush yourself - this is worth your time.

How many open channels you got left?  I'd guess four, maybe?  Which, even if you use two for the bass drop, will leave you a couple extra sends/delay rigs/whatever you want, to sculpt and separate everything into its frequency slot and pan position - very important details in trap - everything needs to pop, and shine brightly when in front, but gel when another sound takes center stage (my opinion). Ive never been able to get the sound right, honestly, so good job!  ( =

Oh wow! Thanks for the

Oh wow! Thanks for the feedback RadioRev!  Yes, the bpm runs at 142 so it is downtempo. And I was feeling pretty motivated while making this track.

Yeah, I'll try to pace myself on this one. Songs like this need time to progress. Open channels? You're close. Three. Not too much room to work with, but I'll find a way to add more epic-ness to this track. ;)

or something.

Trig test? Nice - I can't

Trig test? Nice - I can't even imagine that. Math and I have never been good to each other, but trig deals with sine waves and such, correct? Seems kind of useful, although maybe more to a programmer than a producer...idk

Yup. Sines, Cosines, Tangents

Yup. Sines, Cosines, Tangents, and all that good stuff. Haha, it doesn't get along with me well either. But I do have a great interest for computers and how data is stored an transferred.
