Pops and clicks on Caustic 2.1 Windows version

Hi all,
I know that the windows version is not the product.
I am very happy I have bought the mobile version, only to discover the windows version as a nice plus.

I am so happy I tried the new prerelease 2.1 both on mobile and on Windows.
No problems on the mobile version (so far), but the new Windows version shows some pops and clicks during sound play.

I want to tell this only in case this may show a possible bug on the mobile version too ("The product").

Here you'll find two simple sounds played from the same pattern on both versions for windows (2.0.2 and 2.1)

Hope this helps.
Thank you to all.

Regards.
Mau.

Hi, yes, I'm aware of this.

Hi, yes, I'm aware of this.

I had found a way to lower the latency in the Windows sound library I'm using and got carried away with the beta versions. It runs without pops on my main dev machine (fairly powerful rig) but on my old computer, I'm hearing those clicks too.

I'm hoping to submit the final version to various app stores in a few hours. I've got a windows version ready to go with more reasonable defaults for latency/buffer size. On my test (old) computer, the default value no longer clicks.

TL;DR: You'll have a more stable Windows soon enough.

Should be fixed in the version that's in the Caustic for Windows post. The default latency is higher, with the possibility of setting it up or down from there, depending on your device.
