Hey squrriel??? U still on mars??? I hope so!

This trk what i liked.... was the blend of your horn. And the ending??? Wooooowwwww George clintonish!!! Freaking awesome. I would remix the the hell out of this!!!!!!

Just really re-balance the overbeaing parts and the parts of t he spund giving the groove i would bring dat lil more two the forefront by a hair more and the bassline i would fade in and out. But dat's me!!! And i would tie this ending up in so many other places of this song l. I must have a sick brain!! Cause i would screw-up what u have & chop it hediously. Soooo better as is.

Thanks guys. There a few

Thanks guys. There a few things that annoy me a little with this tune, which I will make better (some time, hehe..).
1. Too sharp sounding bass - slightly out of key.
2. The piano sound is "wrong", snapped to grid some place it shouldn´t have (And I forgot it).

I do like it, I´m pleased with my progress, but very displeased with my impatience. I should rest my ears, wait a day and listen more before uploading. laugh

Sum of your suggestions u

Sum of your suggestions u wanna focus on. R clear signs of "don't rush your idea."

If the idea is strong and not waning away in mist. Then, u need two practice your idea(s) in variations.
And keep it running the idea between keys. Adjusting win and what u can. It will take time. Two get the octaves just right.

It will happen as natural of a blend as u tying your shoes or pulling up pants. Simple. But selecting a key is the worse part over.

If u got this u can switch keys inna song ((( i'm no way an expert in writing songs in different keys. But i have done a few not in caustic tho. Just naturally with words. )))

Another great track, Britt.

Another great track, Britt. Most people understand not how influential Sweden & Norway were upon jazz. We do. :)

It sounds like the same bass preset that I sent you, no? If it is; lower the cents some. Try that until it sounds right to you. But, it already sounds right to me.

Aw, thanks on the behalf of the Scandinavian jazz scene! *smooch* wink
The bass preset name is "Slap Bass" (PCM), I think it has been there all the time. Correct me if I´m wrong.
I used one of your basses earlier (the "Bass that ass" preset, which is strange and wonderful) on Elephant party..

I would get a another bass

I would get a another bass sound that compliments the slap and use the slap bass sound as an accent to a smoother bass, the constant slap bass sound to me grates a little and sounds very artificial given the smoothness of the sax sound.

That´s exactly my thoughts,

That´s exactly my thoughts, Rob, but you put it better. Thanks a lot for input!
Do you have some idea of how I could smoothen this bass (I like the viscosity, and the length of the notes), or do you know about another preset? Maybe an upright bass with an ´edge´....?

I'd go for a secondary preset

I'd go for a secondary preset, maybe just a sub synth with a modified sine wave to give a nice rich sound (or just grab a smooth PCM!). Then I'd copy and paste all your existing patterns over to the new sound and then go through the old patterns removing the lions share of the notes so they only trigger to accent, that way you'll have a smooth underlying bass line accented by the slap which you'd hook into the beat.

Sorry for nagging (i learn a lot that way), but in the start post I added 27 secs of enhanced bass.
The first bars are with a sub synth bass added, then some bars withouth the sub, and final with the sub again.
I panned the piano a little too.
Does it sound better? Could i do it better and how?
Thanks for listening and for bearing with me.

Dayummm alot more volume on

Dayummm alot more volume on the low-end shit!!! Idk. Gimme a couple listens of what's better idk.

after several listens...... definitely yours. A original work of art. A master-peace.

What i get out of wanting two chop and screw this. I would put a spin on the drums. Add lil on keys. ((( not much. Maybe add another instrument. Idk in the moment in the groove it's what feels u. As i work with double basses before caustic on a drum machine and i tend two layer the basses sum so low not meant two be hear normally. But in the moment of studying the music u feel the other bass. Same way with my licks on drums. Not one snare makes my snare.

I use two in everything.

Thanks, Derrti. (Wow, master

Thanks, Derrti. (Wow, master-piece? *bluuuush*!!) The sub bass added, played solo, sounds like...a ton of woolen socks, but along with the other it fills out and sweeten the sound.
The next days I will look at making more out of it, maybe a modulation and a bridge. When I started to make it i wanted to be *only* monotonous and hypnotic, but after listening to it - tiny, tiny idea saplings are coming up about how to make it more dynamic. Besides, I have made a lot of monotonous stuff as it is. :)
We´ll see....
G´nite!
