Try it with an FX chain! Comb Filter/Bit Crusher is serving my current track well.
I do make my own kicks! I take about 1-2 months to make them! But the result I get, is perfect (IMO) ... Btw do you make the kick in Caustic itself, or do you use some VSTs like Camelphat, or Ohmicide?

The kick I made above was solely in Caustic.
I haven't decided on a wavetable oscillator VST for work in other programs yet. But Thor is unstoppable if you're a Reason user.
