Thanks! Slapped my face and some words on that picture a while back. I cropped out the part that says, "My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants." The 120 bpm is what makes it vibey. (First read that as Vibert.) 116-123 is good downtempo bpm. It just didn't sound right any faster or slower. Detroit house/techno has always been my top house preference. Even above Naked Music NYC.

The drum sequences. :) I always forget about all of the hi hats on the jazzy drum pcm preset. But, the amen, followed by the Sesame Street, break are in the hats. The amen congas are with the EIPSO Jungle Drum Kit pcm preset. Each of those breaks are just a four measure template for placing sequence strikes. Each individual measure, or two, can also be used as a backbeat. My sequences seem so erratic and, yet, controlled because of the patterns I layer into the templates. I do the same with my drawings. Everything should compliment without overshadowing. There must be points of reference to make it flow. More like a locking-stone archway. The center piece only looks to be for more form than function.

I can brain today! Maybe I'll start a new track...something slow, dark, and methodical.

No problem. My methods are usually backwards in comparison to others. But, hope it helps.
